Galvanised steel wire rope is an assembly of metal wires consisting of strands. Generally speaking, ropes are made up of 7 to 61 wires with a right-handed crossover stranding. Ropes of the same diameter can have different numbers of strands and wires. In this way, the more wires the rope has, the more flexible it is. However, a rope with large diameter wires will be stiffer than a rope with smaller diameter wires.


Galvanised steel wire ropes 7x19 wires with a diameter of 10mm and 12mm are specially designed for the world of tree climbing. Each type of cable has its own breaking load. For example, Ø10mm wire rope has a breaking load equivalent to 7 233kg, while Ø12mm galvanised steel wire rope has a breaking load of up to 10 400kg.

In order to adapt to your needs, we offer several cable lengths: 50m, 100m, 150m, 200m, 250m, 300m and 500m. This allows you to order only the length necessary for the installation of your treetop courses.

A cable requires regular checking of its condition. It is therefore important to check it in its entirety and more particularly in places where it is subjected to greater stress, leading to frequent damage. Broken wires, distortion of the strands, lengthening of the pitch or the appearance of rust are points to be checked regularly. Storing the Galvanised Steel Wire Rope in a dry place with no contact with the ground will preserve the material as much as possible and prevent wear.
