Suspended between sky and earth: Our net installation in Singapore

In the heart of Singapore's Botanical Gardens, we designed custom-made nets that delicately follow the shape of the trees. This innovative installation aims to protect the space while allowing the trees to grow freely. The nets also provide a unique opportunity for visitors to rest above ground, creating an immersive experience within this natural environment.

A project that combines nature and innovation

The opening ceremony of Learning Forest was attended by Prime Minister Lee and Minister Lawrence Wong, underlining the importance of this project for the community. The major challenge for SPS Filets was to manufacture very large nets while working remotely. To meet this challenge, we accurately modelled the dimensions of the trees in our workshop. This enabled us to develop a tailor-made product, perfectly adapted to the specific requirements of this ambitious project.

With this installation, we have created an innovative solution that blends harmoniously into its environment. By respecting nature while adding a touch of functionality, the project offers both safety and enjoyment for visitors. This type of work underlines our commitment to combining design and sustainability in every project, even on an international scale.
